What Kind Of Maintenance Does A Cycloid Reducer Require?

Oct 14, 2025

Cycloid reducers are widely used in industrial production. Proper maintenance can extend their service life and ensure stable operation.
During daily use, regularly check the oil level to ensure there is enough lubricant. Typically, this check should be carried out every 1000 hours of operation. If the oil level is low, add oil promptly. Also, be mindful of the oil specifications; different models of reducers have specific lubricant requirements.
The lubricant should be changed every 2000 - 3000 hours of operation. For new reducers, the oil should be changed after the first 500 hours of operation to remove impurities generated during the initial run.
While the reducer is in operation, monitor it for unusual vibrations and noises. If any abnormalities are detected, it may indicate internal component damage or improper installation, and prompt inspection is required.
Additionally, keep the reducer clean to prevent dust and debris from entering and affecting its performance. Regularly clean surface stains and inspect the seals for integrity. Replace any damaged seals promptly to prevent oil leaks. These routine maintenance measures will help keep your cycloid reducer performing at its best.
