How Often Should the Seals of Side Entry Agitators Be Replaced?

Dec 18, 2025

There is no fixed replacement cycle for the seals of Side Entry Agitators, which mainly depends on the operating conditions.
Under normal working conditions, the seals run stably and can be replaced every 1–2 years. If the mixing medium is corrosive or contains particles, the seals will wear out faster. It is recommended to inspect them every 3–6 months and replace them immediately if leakage, deformation or other problems are found. For Side Entry Agitators running 24 hours a day continuously, the service life of the seals will be shortened significantly, so the inspection interval needs to be reduced.
Daily maintenance such as proper cleaning and lubrication of the seals can effectively extend their service life, thus ensuring the stable operation of Side Entry Agitators in long-term use.
