
Lubricating oil is the core protective medium for Double Enveloping Worm Reducer, reducing meshing friction, dissipating heat and delaying component wear. Reasonable oil change cycle directly determines the reducer's operating stability and service life. Different working loads, operating hours and environmental conditions correspond to different standardized oil change cycles, suitable for various heavy-duty and harsh working scenarios.
For new reducers, the first oil change is mandatory after 200 hours of trial operation. New equipment will produce tiny metal impurities during running-in; timely oil replacement can clean internal impurities and avoid tooth surface abrasion. For conventional intermittent operation (8-16 hours daily) under normal temperature and clean environment, the lubricating oil should be changed every 6 to 12 months or 2000-3000 operating hours.
For 24-hour continuous heavy-duty operation, the oil change cycle is shortened to 3 to 6 months. For harsh working conditions including high temperature, heavy dust, humidity and frequent impact load, oil deterioration and impurity accumulation accelerate, requiring oil replacement every 1 to 3 months to ensure stable lubrication and heat dissipation.
When changing oil, completely drain the old oil and clean the internal sediment thoroughly before injecting new lubricating oil. Always use dedicated standard oil to avoid oil deterioration and equipment damage caused by mismatched oil types. Scientific oil change management effectively maintains the high efficiency and low failure rate of secondary enveloping worm reducers, reducing equipment maintenance costs for industrial production.
